In December, the Teamsters launched the largest strike against Amazon in U.S. history. The nationwide action followed Amazon’s repeated refusal to follow the law and bargain with the thousands of Amazon workers who’ve organized with the Teamsters, including Teamsters at San Francisco’s DCK6 Amazon warehouse who demanded union recognition last fall.
In addition to the picket line in San Francisco, Teamsters from every local union in Joint Council 7 participated in around-the-clock picket lines at 10 Amazon fulfillment centers throughout the Central Valley and Northern Nevada.

(SAN FRANCISCO) – Teamsters are calling on the San Francisco Ethics Commission to investigate Waymo, the autonomous vehicle (AV) subsidiary of Google, after several of the company’s employees illegally failed to register as lobbyists for meetings with San Francisco International Airport (SFO) officials. Waymo was pressuring the officials for access so their driverless cars could “map” the airport.

(SAN FRANCISCO) – Amazon Teamsters at the company’s DCK6 warehouse in San Francisco were joined by San Francisco Mayor London Breed and Board Supervisor Shamann Walton at a rally and press conference yesterday to demand Amazon recognize the workers’ newly formed union.
