Congressman Khanna also discussed how his upbringing as a child of immigrants shaped his views on the importance of community to make an economy that works for everyone. He stated as the representative from Silicon Valley, he supports technological progress, but not at the expense of humanity. “I believe Silicon Valley and its technology have to be in the service of workers, not workers in the service of machines,” he said.

Nearly 300 Joint Council 7 Teamsters attended the 2025 seminar.
“It was an honor to have Representative Khanna with us to cap of our conference,” said Joint Council President Peter Finn. “He is a powerful ally of the Teamsters and his vision for an American economy that puts working people first aligns with our closely held values,” Finn said.
