AB214 in Nevada Becomes Law

Great news – Assembly Bill 214 in the Nevada State Legislature has become law! Last night, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo signed the Bill into law, which strengthens safety measures for transit workers by expanding the state’s public transit agency advisory board with 2 labor representatives. In addition, this expansion ensures that the workers have a seat at the table when it comes to addressing worker issues that may arise. We’re thankful to Assemblymember Natha Anderson (who is in the included photo with Local 533 President Gary Watson), for sponsoring the Bill and helping empower the voice of union transit workers in Northern Nevada. #AB214
