Employees at SCA Sweeping Company overwhelmingly voted in favor of union representation with Teamsters Local 439, marking another major organizing victory in the waste industry.
“This victory shows that workers are standing together and demanding a stronger voice on the job,” said Secretary-Treasurer Sal Lomeli.
Secretary-Treasurer Sal Lomeli and President Rick Buzo will be chairing contract negotiations, which are set to begin in June 2026, as workers fight for the wages, protections, and respect they deserve.
Another victory for working families. Another step forward for Teamsters Local 439.
