Specialty foods workers gain 22% in total compensation

Teamsters working at Giusto’s Specialty Foods in South San Francisco voted in October 2023 to ratify the tentative agreement between the company and Local 315, which included increases in wages, employer contributions to healthcare, and pension contributions. Those increases total 22% for the total compensation package over the life of the two-year deal.
Giusto’s Specialty Foods is an organic and natural bakery ingredient company that currently operates its warehouse and deliveries with 11 Teamsters Local 315 members.
Rick Daverin was selected by his fellow Local 315 brothers, an experienced group with over 150 combined years at Giusto’s, to represent them in negotiations. Rick was able to witness the process and provide needed insight. When asked of his experience in negotiations, he replied, “That was huge. We haven’t done that before.”
Rick, a 16-year Teamster, followed up with, “We’re glad to see the increases in our wages, in employer contributions to our healthcare costs, and in our pension contributions. Thank you, Teamsters Local 315!”
